The Aquila GV, refined
The all-new Hyosung Aquila GV125S brings the distinctive power and ‘Sportster’ look and feel of a V-twin engine back to the small-capacity class. A water-cooled 60-degree core produces smooth, linear acceleration throughout the rev range for consistent power with an impressive presence. The Aquila stands out of the crowd. Hyosung has worked hard to set the GV apart from other models while giving you the ride you would expect from a class-leading 125cc motorcycle. With aggressive styling and features, low riding position and curves, the GV125S has the silhouette of an American chopper crossed with an urban cafe racer. Neo-classic seat and body detailing combine to reveal a bike with a solid history of quality and refinement.
The bike gives you full system control. The GV125S instrument panel is located asymmetrically in front of the handlebars, hosting an analogue trip counter with a red line from 10,000rpm and a backlit LCD screen. The display features a speedometer, two graphical levels for coolant temperature and petrol, a total and partial odometer, and five indicator lights.
Unparalleled comfort comes as standard on the GV125S, with a conventional front fork setup, rubber gaiters to protect the suspension stanchions, and twin rear shock absorbers with variable pitch spring and adjustable preload so you can tailor your ride. A low 710mm seat gives riders a stable centre of gravity closer to the ground and creates that signature look.
The GV125S is more responsive than ever. The new Aquila has been updated to a full disc-disc braking setup for safe, controlled stopping power. There are three-piston floating calliper discs up front and oversized, double-piston calliper discs at the rear. A combined braking (CBS) system distributes power from the pedal evenly for increased stability.

The GV125S is a more agile ride than its predecessor, the GV125C. This is partly down to the 14bhp on hand, helped by large tyres that effortlessly handle road conditions and make it more responsive on turns. The frame and overall dimensions have been adapted for better corner control and lighter manoeuvring. With a length of 2,085 mm (20 cm less than its predecessor), and a wheelbase of 1430 mm, it's perfect for nimble use as an everyday city rider or countryside explorer alike.
Power and economy, combined. Improved internal engine dimensions, a new cooling system, and Overhead Camshaft (OHC) distribution with a three-valve cylinder head combine to produce high torque at low revs. The crankcase has been made smaller and contains a five-speed gearbox, with optimised gear ratios. This is the gearing we'll soon see on 300cc and larger-displacement models. Electronic injection instead of a traditional carburettor achieves fuel efficiency levels that comply with the Euro 4 and 5 emissions directives.
5 years of engineering improvements have been injected into this new 125cc machine. The 16 and 15-inch front and back wheels have been updated with 12 mag alloy wheels and larger tyres - 120/80 on the front and 150/80 on the rear. Coupled with the tuned-up suspension, this makes for a ruggedly comfortable ride. A new double-cradle frame has also been introduced, with the addition of a detachable rear sub-frame that makes accessibility easier for maintenance.
